Cancelled: New Song Café – August 2021
We’re so disappointed. Unfortunately, a large number of the team have to self-isolate, meaning it’s not going to be possible to host New Song Café this month. After such a long wait it’s frustrating, but everyone’s safety is paramount. It would be great if you could remember the service in your prayers and we look forward to seeing you in September.
After almost 18 months without being able to worship with you, August should mean it’s free enough and safe enough to return to singing our hearts out in praise. For those who don’t regularly worship at St. James Road it will also be a great chance to see our fabulous new space ready for the next step in our church’s mission. We hope you’ll be able to join us for some new songs and some classics. Oh, and of course some coffee and cake!

Valentine – Hillsong Worship
I have chosen to bring the song ‘Valentine’ into our first service together following what has been a very long and difficult time for the entire world, due to the pandemic. This song is powerful and speaks of the world belonging to God, who loves us all and reigns forever. It is time for us to surrender our hearts to God, to trust in him. To give our burdens and hardships over. To let go of our fears and to worship our God of hope. This song is a beautiful one with meaningful lyrics and it has personally helped me to remember the almighty power of God and to celebrate in the knowledge that he will always love us.

Here Again – Elevation Worship
I’ve added Here Again to the New Song Café line up as it’s a beautiful Worship song focusing firstly on putting God in the middle of our lives In the first verse, and then secondly focusing on asking for the presence of God to come and meet us here again, It says in James 4:8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you, and this song really does do this promise, and then lastly declaring that the Lord is in this place, it really brings a sense of togetherness, I pray it blesses you and brings you deeper into the presence of God, Amen.
